What is IBM Instana?
IBM Instana is an observability and application performance monitoring (APM) platform. It discovers applications and dependencies automatically, traces requests end to end and raises alerts tied to user impact.
IBM Concert is an agentic IT operations platform. Concert Protect connects exposures across code, dependencies, applications and runtime to show what is actually exploitable, and Concert Resilience supports resilience posture and guided remediation.
Instana feeds live application topology to Concert, including components, Kubernetes clusters, namespaces and container images. Concert adds CVE and risk context, so operations and security teams see the same picture. The integration applies to Kubernetes-based Instana editions.
Concert combines CVSS with factors such as network exposure, asset criticality, exploitability, blast radius and business impact, so teams fix the vulnerabilities that threaten critical applications first.
